It’s an amazing feeling to watch your friend or relative get married. It’s even more amazing to watch them start a family and home. Therefore, I’d expect you would want to be as supportive as possible as you watch them do this. Where am I headed? I’ll tell you. Giving wedding gifts is a significant wedding custom that probably dates as far back as when people started celebrating weddings publicly or beyond.
The wedding season is upon us and we know planning the Nigerian wedding of your dreams entails a lot of heart wrenching expenses. Expenses that some can afford but some on the other hand may not particularly be able to afford (at least without incurring serious dept).
“How do I know which one is the best? There are just so many of them these days”
This concern is raised by more wedding planners and couples than you know. Planning a Nigerian wedding no matter how small, is no child’s play and that’s an established fact. One of the biggest challenges besides working with a fixed budget, is finding the vendors to work with that budget while delivering your desires.
What most people fail to fail to realise is that it’s all in their hands. Yes, your hands. Once you have been able to filter the vendors that work with the budget you have in mind, the next thing is to have a sit down with them and ask the following questions
"I’m prone to the ‘curse’. I know it because I like my plans near-perfect and my wedding day is definitely the most important plan I may make. I’ve been thinking about it for a while now… How do I avoid being a bridezilla?!" - Concerned citizen.
Following all the conventionalities, there are only two things your wedding guests look forward to: Food and a good party! This is why a fun filled wedding reception can never be over emphasized.

I have dreamt of my wedding since I was a little boy. One morning, when I was 4 years old, I woke up to get ready for school and I told my mum about the dream I had the night before. I was so excited because the dream was very elaborate. It was a dream of my wedding.
My 4-year old mind left no stone unturned in imagining the grandest of weddings. It was not a traditional wedding and thinking back, it must have been influenced by the movies I watched around the time. I wore a black tuxedo with a pristine white shirt and a tie (I can’t remember the colour or style anymore lol). No detail was spared as I also dreamed of the music that was played as my bride walked down the aisle to me.
Ladies! Queens! The scope has changed, be aware, be very aware!
