What you would do
- Work in an agile environment to design features that we can ship fast in continuous iterations
- Sketch, wireframe and prototype user workflows based on user interviews and surveys
- Create visualizations for large amounts of data
- Help integrate those new designs into web applications and update them based on feedback and analytics we gather
- Fix frontend bugs as they are found
Actual minimum requirements
You need hands on experience writing frontend code for the web, and you need to have performed usability testing or other research to inform and iterate on a product design.
You'd be a good fit if:
We don't require that you have experience with all of this to begin with, but it is directly relevant to the role.
- You have experience creating and maintaining products with real-world users
- You run usability tests
- You have guided designs through sketching, wireframing, and launch
- You feel comfortable working in HTML and CSS
Nice to haves:
- You can do or commission icon, photo or illustration work
- You have a knack for writing UI copy and thinking about content first
- You can dig into javascript or python code
- You use git or other version control software
- Your interest is piqued by economic and social development issues
